Blizzard Entertainment, the team behind Heroes of the Storm, was recently acquired along withActivisionand King in a record-setting purchase by Xbox. The acquisition has led to rampant speculation and rumors as to which IPs, if any,Xboxmay attempt to revive.
CEO ofMicrosoft Gaming, Phil Spencer, recently made an appearance on the official Xbox Podcast to discuss the acquisition and player expectations. While he said he had no intentions of ordering any specific studio to revive any specific IPs, Spencer claimed that he andXbox would be “all in” if a studio chose to revive a franchise.
